The Naturalists' Camera Club of Toledo

Our Mission:
To make the photographer a better naturalist and the naturalist a better photographer

The Naturalists’ Camera Club of Toledo (NCCT) was formed in 1961 by members of the Toledo Naturalist Association to assist the naturalist in becoming a better photographer and to help the photographer become a better naturalist. We are dedicated to nature photography and the natural environment, flora, fauna, landscapes and seascapes. We seek to improve our skills through programs and field trips.

We meet the second Sunday of each month at the National Center for Nature Photography in Secor Metropark. Secor Metropark is located on West Central Avenue (US 20) six miles west of I 475/US23. Meetings begin at 2:00 p.m. and are open to the public. Our meetings generally include:

We have several informal field trips each year where members and guests meet at local areas of natural interest. Field trips give members the opportunity to photograph a variety of plants, animals and landscapes. New members and guests are welcome at these outings. Members are always willing to share their expertise.

Each year we have an Annual Trek to an area of great natural beauty. In 2010 we are planning to meet in the Grand Traverse area of Michigan. This is the home of the Cherry Festival, Sleeping Bear Dunes, several lighthouses, islands to visit and more. Our Trek in 2009 was to the Maine seacoast.

We have no age restrictions and guests are always welcome. Some of our members are not photographers but just enjoy the nature oriented programs
